Company History

Karen Martin & Associates was founded in 1993 in Santa Monica, CA doing business as Martin & Associates. The company relocated to San Diego in 2000 and changed its name to Karen Martin & Associates. Karen’s goal in establishing the consulting firm and today’s mission continues to focus on providing support to organizations in a way that enables them to become self-sufficient as quickly as possible and reduce reliance on external resources. Establishing an improvement culture is impossible without consistent internal support.

With this objective in mind, Karen and her team prefer clients who are driven to excel on their own – after they’ve received proper development and guidance from our experienced facilitators – and seek occasional external support when the improvements they desire require outside objectivity, more seasoned expertise in applying specific lean tools, and/or more extensive experience with particular organizational issues.
