Ric Van Der Linden, Associate

Ric Van Der Linden’s career has focused on Continuous Improvement in manufacturing and healthcare.  For the past 15 years he has led and supported business growth including the start up of two large manufacturing operations (US and Mexico) which included facilities, equipment and staffing.  He has managed production operations and has also applied Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement approaches in non-manufacturing environments, including healthcare.

A skilled champion for change, Ric has developed Lean strategies and Six Sigma programs that have produced measurable results in all aspects of business and have become “best practice” within the organizations.  In addition to project leadership, he has also trained, mentored, and certified 250 Six Sigma/Lean individuals that have resulted in a three-year savings of $20 million.  He holds a BS in Manufacturing Engineering, a Masters in Organizational Management, is a certified Lean Expert and Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He is the President of the San Diego Chapter of the Institute of Industrial Engineers and is a Lean and Six Sigma Instructor at San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego.
